How can policy address the barriers that New Yorkers most affected by the digital divide face in adopting free or low-cost internet programs?
As a UX intern with the Office of External Engagement, I led the planning and conducted a research study helping the team understand how New Yorkers are actually navigating internet access today and what a path forward should look like for the city to address resident needs. Through service design mapping and resident engagement, I conducted civic design research that is to be included in the Internet Access and Adoption Plan set to release in Spring 2027.
